Picture This

These are some shots we took as we were building the front deck on the
house. As well, it shows the cedar trees that were in the front yard we had
taken down two summers ago. As much as we loved the privacy, those trees (an
overgrown hedge) really kept us from meeting our neighbors and talking to
people as they walked by. We have met so many individuals in our
neighborhood since taking them down!

So funny how a physical barrier, such as the trees, can create a community barrier. Sounds like a smart thing to take them down to enrich your lives. Though I do love trees!

Look at all the work you've done. Incredible. Good job friends!

amazing work you guys! Josh and i were just commenting how you'll be done with your lovely house only a short while before you up and leave to a place where the houses are... less than fantastic. LOL.

I noticed you also enjoy cooking/baking. If you're interested, the missionary community in Madagascar has a recipe/restaurant recommendation blog at: madarecipes.wordpress.com

Hi Jocelyn, I can't tell you how many ppl have said that exact thing to us about moving! But we are prepared for it, I think :) We will probably make house in a few places before we actually make it overseas. We are just happy to see some of these projects completed. It has been a long road (5+ years!)
Thanks for the link, I'll check it out. If you have time, swing over to mommybarber.blogspot.com where I have loads of recipes and miscellaneous mommy things too.
